XS series sand suckers are used in sand depositing tanks and aeration sank depositing tanks of waste water treatment plants. The mixture of waste water and sand, cinder and other heavy granule deposited at the tank bottom are raised and transported to the canal connected to sank-water separator.
IDENTIFICATION CODES
-XS- × - Tank pattern codes (S-double channel, D-single channel) XS- Sand sucker - Tank depth (m) - Tank width (m)
CHARACTERISTIC
1. The sand-water mixture is elevated and ansported by submersible non-jam pump of which the technology was imported from Germany. The equipment is simpler than gas elevating pump, and no such noise as the air compressor while operating. 2. The scum skimming rake is driven by the electric-hydraulic push rod. The structure is thus compact.
STRUCTURE AND OPERATING PRINCIPLE
XS series sand sucker as shown in diagram 1 and diagram 2 is composed of main beam, driver, submersible pump, scum skimmer, rail, control box etc. The sucker shall automatically run to-and-fro at the set cycle on rail of tank top. The sand-water mixture at the tank bottom shall be elevated and drained to water collecting canal beside the tank. When running forward, the scum skimming rake shall go down to scrape and collect scum and transport it to the scum channel. When running backward, the scum skimming rake shall rise out of the liquid surface to avoid the scum moving backward. Reversed skimming scum is also acceptable according to the process requirement.
